Humility is not in the bowing down or speaking in soft tones with hands raised prayerfully. It is something more, far more and can be betrayed by such gestures and behaviour. Behind such performances it is not rare to find a stubborn and selfish person. Expressions of humility are thus reduced to a mere strategy of sustaining an uncharitable character and opinion rooted in selfishness. At the heart of it, the archetypical gestures are then symptomatic of the narcissist and not the devotee, because they serve their egomaniacal purpose. Humility is something more, far more and something to be aspired for.
